From cyber cafes in Chow Kit to packed arenas at Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil, the Malaysian esports community has grown so rapidly that the government itself has officially recognised esports as a national sport.
This growth goes beyond numbers. At sone970, we recognised this shift earlier than most, and we have invested in building an e-sports section that genuinely reflects what local fans care about.

If you have ever tried in-play betting on football, you know how exciting it can be. But in-play esports betting at sone970 takes that experience to a whole different level. In a game like Mobile Legends, the situation can shift within seconds – a team that looks comfortably ahead can lose all their momentum in the blink of an eye the moment their opponents pull off a perfect teamfight.
This means in-play odds shift extremely quickly and dynamically. Players who are closely following the match and have a solid understanding of the current meta will be able to spot opportunities where the odds on sone970 have not yet caught up with the real momentum swing. This is an edge that knowledgeable players can capitalise on – and sone970 provides the best platform to do exactly that.
If you have been following Malaysia's PC gaming scene over the past two years, Valorant is a name you simply cannot ignore. Riot Games' tactical shooter has captured the attention of not just the existing CS:GO community, but also a wave of younger players diving into competitive FPS for the first time. Malaysia's representation in VCT Challengers grows stronger every season, and that opens up plenty of exciting betting opportunities on sone970.
Paper Rex, though based in Singapore, have players deeply rooted in the SEA community and are a team Malaysian fans closely follow whenever they compete in VCT Pacific. sone970 covers all VCT Pacific matches in full, from the group stage right through to the grand final, with a wide range of map-by-map markets that allow fans who genuinely follow the scene to put their knowledge to good use.

For players who are serious about making sharper, more informed betting decisions.
Stay on top of team roster updates. In e-sports, roster changes can happen fast and have a significant impact on team performance. A squad that has just brought in new players may need time to build chemistry. sone970 players who keep up with MPL Malaysia roster updates week by week will have a clear information edge.
Understand the current meta for each game. Meta — or metagame — refers to the strongest strategies and heroes/agents/weapons in a given patch. Teams that adapt faster to a new meta after each game update tend to perform better in the first few weeks. This is valuable insight for placing bets at sone970.
Keep an eye on a packed match schedule. Unlike physical sports, e-sports players are also susceptible to mental fatigue when forced to compete across multiple matches in a short period. Teams juggling several tournaments at once, or those who have just come off a gruelling series, may find their focus dipping – and that can directly affect their performance in upcoming matches on sone970.
Leverage in-play betting with deep game knowledge. In Mobile Legends, certain moments define the game — the first Lord spawn, the mid-game transition, and the late-game push each tip the scales toward the team already in control. If you can read these situations before sone970's markets adjust, that's where the real betting value lies.
Manage your bankroll with patience. Esports is an inherently volatile space — upsets are part of what makes it exciting. Never put your entire bankroll on a single match, no matter how confident you feel. Keep each bet to 3–5% of your bankroll and let your knowledge work for you over time on sone970.
